The Stanford FCU Refer A Friend program is available to Stanford FCU members age 18 and older. Both the referring member and referred member will receive a $250 bonus deposited into their accounts after the new member opens a qualifying account, as described below, and meets the specific requirements. Membership eligibility required. The bonus deposit may take up to 101 days, due to the length of time needed to meet the requirements. The referring member must be identified at the time of account opening either via a unique promo code or in-person when the referring member is identified by name.

*In order for the referring member and the referred member to receive the $250 bonus, the referred new member will need to open a Checking (Spending) or Savings Account with a minimum monthly payroll direct deposit of $2,500 for the first three consecutive months from account opening. Payroll direct deposit is defined as recurring ACH payments from your employer or the Social Security Administration. Other deposits such as checks, transfers, Venmo, Zelle® and PayPal do not qualify.

The promo code generated online is unique to the referring member, and can be used by an unlimited number of referred new members. An existing member can refer an unlimited number of new members. A referred member may only receive one $250 bonus regardless of the number of accounts or memberships opened. If the promo code is not used and the referring member was not identified at the time of account opening, no bonus will be awarded to either member.

Stanford FCU reserves the right to modify or cancel this program without notice. However, any cancellation or modification will not affect bonuses for accounts already opened that have not yet met the requirements. Stanford FCU employees, family members and volunteers are not eligible. We reserve the right to disqualify any referrals in circumstances where we reasonably believe they were not sent to us in good faith.

The $250 bonus will be deposited into the accounts of both the referring member and the new member the day after the new member meets the account criteria. Taxes due on the bonus deposits are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Stanford FCU will report all bonus deposits to the appropriate state and federal agencies as required by applicable law. This offer cannot be combined with any other Stanford FCU promotional offers. This offer is invalid if the referred member had a Stanford FCU account that was closed within the last two years.
