Can I use an external account to make automatic loan payments?

Yes, you can use an account at another financial institution to set up automatic payments for your Stanford FCU loans. You will first need to set up the external account, which will take a couple of days while we verify that the other account belongs to you. You can learn how to set up External Accounts by watching our how-to video or follow these steps:

  1. Log into Online Banking or the mobile app
  2. Select Move Money
  3. Click Add External Account
  4. Follow the prompts

Once your external account has been verified, you can set up the automatic payments:

  1. Log into Online Banking or the mobile app
  2. Select Move Money
  3. Click Make a Payment
  4. Choose your external account in the “From” field
  5. Complete all the other fields and click the “Make this a recurring transaction” box
