How do I transfer money into a different account?

You can transfer funds between your Stanford FCU accounts, to another Stanford FCU member (if you know the account number), or to and from your accounts at another financial institution (this will take a few days for the first-time transfer). If you want to send money to someone who is not a Stanford FCU member, you may send a Wire Transfer (within Online Banking and the mobile app).

 

Transfer funds between your Stanford FCU accounts:

  • Log into Online Banking or the mobile app
  • Choose Transfer Funds from the quick links (or Move Money > Transfer Funds from the main menu)
  • Fill in the requested information

 

Transfer funds to another member:

  • Log into Online Banking or the mobile app
  • Choose Move Money > MORE OPTIONS > Member to Member Transfer (you’ll need the member’s account number and type of account)
  • Fill in the requested information

 

Transfer funds to and from your accounts at another financial institution:

  • Log into Online Banking or the mobile app
  • Choose Move Money > Add External Account (you will need your institution’s routing number, your account number, and the account type–learn how to set up External Accounts by watching our how-to video)
  • Fill in the requested information
  • It will take a day or two to confirm the test deposits before you can make a transfer
  • Once the external account is established, it will always appear under the normal Transfer Funds service as an option to transfer to or from
