What is Return of the Member?

Most financial institutions are measured by traditional metrics like profits or growth. The Return of the Member (ROM) score looks at things differently.

Created by Callahan & Associates, the ROM Index evaluates how much value a credit union returns to its members through products, services, rates, and overall member benefits.

It looks at three key areas:

  • How well a credit union rewards savers
  • How much value borrowers receive
  • How members use and benefit from available services

Together, these factors show how well a credit union serves its members.

Why this matters

As a credit union, we're owned by our members, not shareholders. That allows us to focus on creating value for the people who bank with us.

That value can take many forms, including:

This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering meaningful value at every stage of our members' financial journey, whether they're saving for the future, buying a home, financing a vehicle, or simply managing day-to-day finances.

It's also a testament to the trust our members place in us and the dedication of our employees who work hard every day to deliver an exceptional experience.

We'll continue looking for ways to deliver even more value because helping our members thrive will always be our top priority.
