Official Rules
No payment or purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not increase your chance of winning.
1) Eligibility: You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age as of the date of entry. Employees of Stanford Federal Credit Union (“SFCU”), its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (collectively the “Employees”), and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household as Employees are not eligible to participate in the Contest. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.
2) Agreement to Rules: By entering the Contest, the Contestant (“You”) agree to review, accept, and be fully and unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of SFCU as final and binding as it relates to this Contest.
3) Contest Period: Entries will be accepted from May 15, 2026, through July 15, 2026. All entries must be received by 11:59 PM Pacific Time on July 15, 2026 (“Contest Period”).
4) Consumer Disclosure: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. For example, if 100 entries are received during the Contest Period before the entry deadline, odds of winning are 1:100.
5) Prize: One (1) $2,500 cash prize, one (1) $1,000 cash prize and two (2) $500 cash prize (awarded via direct deposit to winner’s SFCU checking or savings account or by check).
6) How to Enter: Eligible individuals may receive one (1) Contest entry by submitting an application for a qualifying SFCU home loan product during the Contest Period. Qualifying home loan products include First Mortgage, Second Mortgage, or Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC). Eligible applications include purchase mortgage applications (including pre‑approvals issued prior to the start of the Contest Period that convert to a contract to purchase), and refinance applications submitted or converted during the Contest Period. Applications for loan modifications, extensions, or changes to existing loan terms that do not require a new loan application from SFCU are not eligible for entry.
To be eligible:
- First Mortgage applications must be for an owner‑occupied property.
- Second Mortgage and Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) applications require the applicant to be an owner of the property listed on the application.
- Pre‑approval applications submitted prior to the Contest Period are eligible only if they convert to a contract to purchase an owner‑occupied property during the Contest Period.
- The property must be located within one of the fifty (50) United States. U.S. territories are not eligible.
- Loan approval, closing, or funding is not required for an otherwise eligible application to be considered an entry.
All required application information and/or entry registration must be completed during the Contest Period to be eligible. Each entry must fulfill all Contest requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to these Official Rules may be disqualified at the sole discretion of SFCU.
Limit one (1) entry per individual during the Contest Period, regardless of entry method, loan product type, property address, or number of applications submitted. Only the primary applicant listed on the loan application is eligible to receive a Contest entry; co‑borrowers, co‑applicants, or additional applicants are not eligible to receive separate entries. Duplicate entries associated with the same individual will be deemed ineligible. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. If You use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules, Your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of SFCU.
As an alternative method of entry, you may enter once by sending a postcard with your name, address, phone number and email address to Welcome Home Sweepstakes, Stanford Federal Credit Union, 1860 Embarcadero Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303.
7) Winner Selection and Notification: Four (4) winners will be randomly selected, with one winner to receive $2,500, one winner to receive $1,000 and two winners to receive $500, deposited into their SFCU checking or savings account by August 15, 2026. If the winner does not have an account with SFCU, a check for the prize amount will be issued and mailed to the recipient. The Winner will be notified by email or phone call by July 20, 2026. SFCU shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk email or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to claim the prize within fourteen (14) days from the time award notification was sent, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner selected. The cash prize is non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the SFCU’s sole discretion. SFCU reserves the right to substitute any listed prize for one of equal or greater value for any reason. Receipt by Winner of the prize offered in this Contest is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY WINNER (AT SFCU’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE CONTEST, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.
8) Terms & Conditions: SFCU reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond SFCU’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Contest. In such case, SFCU may select the Winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by SFCU. SFCU reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or website or violates these Terms & Conditions. SFCU has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Contest, to void entries for any reason, including, but not limited to: multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by Contest rules; or the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such attempt be made, SFCU reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9) Limitation of Liability: By entering, You agree to release and hold harmless SFCU and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Contest; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries.
10) Disputes: THIS CONTEST IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES AND CALIFORNIA, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Contest, participant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in California having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this Contest). Participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

13) Publicity Authorization: Each winner agrees to permit SFCU to utilize his/her name and likeness in promotional and other SFCU materials, without additional compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law. Upon notification, Winner may be required to complete a Winner Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability & Publicity Release Agreement and return same, properly executed, prior to collecting the Prize. Failure to return signed Winner Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability & Publicity Release Agreement may result in forfeiture of Prize.
14) Social Media: This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any social media platform, including, but not limited to, Instagram or Facebook. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the promotion will be directed to SFCU. All entrants agree to hold any social media platform, including, but not limited to, Instagram and Facebook, harmless from any liability arising from participation in the Contest or the acceptance, receipt, possession, or misuse of the Prize.
15) Taxes: SFCU will report all prize winnings to the appropriate state and federal agencies as required by applicable law. Winners are responsible for all tax consequences (if any) of the prizes.
