What is Purchase Security & Extended protection?
This automatic benefit protects many new consumer retail purchases that are made entirely with your eligible Visa® card — at no additional cost. This includes gifts received from the valid cardholder’s eligible Visa® card.
What two ways are these new retail purchases covered?
Purchase Security covers eligible personal property purchased entirely with your Visa® card. Under this coverage your items will be replaced, repaired, or reimbursed – subject to the discretion of the Benefits Administrator. Receipts will be required when making a claim. Extended Protection doubles the amount of time permitted by the original manufactures written warranty — but within 3 years of purchase.
Are there conditions to these benefits?
Yes. Purchase Security covers items within 90 days from purchase. Reimbursement will not exceed: the original purchase price, a max of $500 per claim, or $50,000 per cardholder. A police report must also be filled within 48 hours of the incident. Extended Protection period will not exceed: 1 additional year on warranties of 3 years or less, a max of $10,000 per claim, or $50,000 per cardholder.
What does the Purchase Security benefit cover?
Fire, smoke, lightning, explosion, riot, or vandalism, windstorm, hail, rain, sleet, or snow, aircraft, spacecraft or other vehicles, theft (except from autos or motorized vehicles), accidental discharge of water or steam from household plumbing, sudden accidental damage from electric current (this coverage does not apply to electronic components)

What does the Extended Protection benefit cover?
Not to exceed the benefit conditions — Warranty Registration and Service features are included within the coverage as an additional benefit. The Warranty Service feature provides key coverage and claim information with one call to the Benefit Administrator at 1.800.848.1943 within the U.S.A. If outside the U.S. call 303.967.1096.
