What are test deposits and how do I verify them?

Whenever you add an External Account (an account at another financial institution) in Online or Mobile Banking, we must verify that the other account belongs to you. We will make two small deposits into the account so you can verify the amounts and confirm ownership. You can learn how to set up External Accounts by watching our how-to video or follow these steps:

  • Log into Online Banking or the mobile app
  • Choose Move Money > Add External Account
  • Follow the instructions (note that it can take a few days for the test deposits to arrive)
  • Once you see the test deposits in your External Account, you can log back into Online Banking or the mobile app, choose Move Money > Add External Account to verify the deposit amounts

The test deposits will be withdrawn from your account, and you will now see your External Account as one of your transfer options under Move Money > Transfer Funds.
